Unhappy 4th of July: Occupiers vandalize downtown Oakland, spray paint “kill cops”

From Marathon Pundit

The most violent tentacle of the Occupy movement is in Oakland. While they didn’t burn any flags during their July 4th rampage through the city’s downtown–as is their wont–they did spray paint, smash a window, and slash a tire of a police car.

One brute spray painted “kill cops” on the headquarters of the OPD.

Only one person was arrested–and that was over a permit issue.

The protest prevented the cops from responding to other police calls on Independence Day, which is typically a very busy day for law enforcement.

Hat tip to John.
